Do you want your house to perform like this? This picture was taken of a stucco house on a cool morning. You can see from the frost on the walls exactly where the studs are within the walls. Also you can see where the truss marks are located.

A 2x6 has an R-Value of R6. Wood is not a great insulator. The thermal occurence outside of the house is slowly leaking into the house at every point of stud. Basically, it all adds up. Now this person probably has insulation between the studs, but it isn't doing anything to retain energy efficiency over the mass area of the wall.

You won't see that on a panel house!
