			Are these building panels vulnerable to insect infestation such as ants & termites? Ants & termites are everywhere; however, preventive measures at the time of construction will aid in preventing infestation. Check with officials in your area. Expanded polystrene (EPS) is non-intrusive to insects.

How much is it per square foot?

Quite often we are asked this difficult question.

Due to the many different variables involved with architectural plans or blueprints, we cannot offer an accurate estimate based solely on square footage. This is the reason why our company policy requires us to give bids or estimates based on your submitted plans.

The information we need to help establish an accurate estimate for cost of panels include:

Which walls would you like to be constructed of panels?
The elevation measurement points of the project (included in the architectural plans).
Roof pitch and types of roof system (included in the architectural plans).
Panel thickness for each floor, walls and roof (6", 8", 10" or 12")
Snow Load requirements of your local region building codes.

How much of a cost difference is there between building with panels and conventional stick framing?

This is quite a time consuming thing to follow. We don't know how much "exactly" one is greater than the other, but we do know that usually, panels cost more than stick frame does in form of materials. When you look at the amount of time you save in putting insulation up, and the amount of time it takes to set panels, you start to see the immediate competing factors. Now, when you focus on the long term energy efficiency savings, then the cost differences of going with panels versus conventional framing, the benefits outweigh the cost differences.
